TIPS FOR MESSAGE BOARD

The message board requires you to register which is free.

To register, click here and click on the "register your free account (required)" link in the lilac box at the top of the screen.

When registering a user name, you have the option of a global name or a local name.  A local name is a name you can use only on the My Friend - My Enemy message board - you will have more chance of getting the name you want with a local user name.  A global name is a user name which you can use on the whole ezboard.com network.

 A local name is recommended.

You also have the opportunity to create your own profile where you can leave a little information about yourself.  To do this, first log in, then click on "My Control Center" in the lilac box at the top of the screen. The click on "edit profile".  Now you are ready to create your profile.  To view other peoples profiles, click on their name which is beside their posts.

It is worth visiting "My Preferences".  You can access this after logging in and clicking on "my control center".  Then click on "edit preferences".  Here you will be able to create a custom signature for your posts, choose the number of replies you can view on one page at once,  allow yourself to receive private messages, allow yourself to use emoticons in your posts, and lots more! Worth a visit.

If you wish you may use emoticons and posticons in your posts, but it is not essential.  Posticons are the symbols that are placed beside your post on the message board, while emoticons are the little faces that you place within the actual message.  To use an emoticon when posting a message, click on the "use emoticons" link which is situated to the left of the text box.  Using posticons is fairly self-explanatory.

I will keep the old board running while people get used to the new one.  I understand that the new board seems complex, but I believe it will work more efficiently in the long term.

Good luck!
